The program was formally inaugurated by Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, with the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Member of Parliament Ajay Sancheti, ICTRD Member Secretary and Director of CIII Ketan Mohitkar, Dewang Dave from Navayuvak Foundation, Sandip Joshi, and other notable personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nagpur Startup Fest 2018 aimed at promoting entrepreneurial spirit, especially among the youth, and provided a platform for new and emerging entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations and discuss the challenges commonly faced by startups. The initiative also focused on building awareness about building sustainable startup ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Over 100 startups applied to pitch their ideas during the event. After a thorough shortlisting process, 10 startups were selected to present their pitches in front of a large audience, including stakeholders, investors, and over 2000 attendees. Noteworthy demonstrations included Droni Tech, a utility drone manufacturing startup, and Honda\u2019s CO-OP App-enabled two-wheelers and bicycles, which garnered significant attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Several panel discussions were conducted throughout the day, featuring expert speakers from the startup ecosystem who provided insights on growth strategies, innovation, and overcoming entrepreneurial challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All the shortlisted startups were felicitated by ICTRD and NMC, while participation certificates were distributed to all 5000 attendees. Participants were also provided with free lunch, medical assistance, and other amenities, ensuring a comfortable experience for everyone involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the entry and registration area, multiple startup companies had set up exhibition stalls, allowing them to interact with the public and showcase their products and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nagpur Startup Fest 2018 proved to be a milestone event, setting a benchmark for innovation-driven gatherings and creating a robust platform for budding entrepreneurs in Central India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n More than 100 startups were applied to pitch at NSF. out of them 10 startups were shortlisted for pitch in front of all stake holders, investors and more than 2000 people.
